ALL FOR YOU-ALL FOR YOU-ALL FOR YOU-ALL FOR YOU-ALL FOR YOU-ALL FOR YOU-ALL FOR YOU-ALL FOR YOU-

In October of 2005, SSG John Crawford paid a special visit to our teen group by the request of our Youth Director, Brian Hargis.  John & Brian served together in the army, while at Drill Sergeant School in 2004.  John was activated for Operation Iraqi Freedom and served 9 months of combat, on over 1,500 patrols, and was the victim of 7 roadside bombs, one of which almost took his life.  His fame grew within the battalion to where other soldiers would joking say, "If you want to get blown up, ride with Crawford"!

During the months of October and November, our Youth Group (called ProTeens) studied the religion of Islam.  It was an in-depth study entitled, "What Islam Doesn't Want You To Know", and was taught by our Youth Director.  Brian has also served in the military in several predominantly Muslim countries including Kuwait and Kosovo.  He served with 19th Special Forces Group who's area of orientation is Africa, which has a large population of Muslim.  SSG Crawford came to give us the true story of what we are really fighting in Iraq.  It is a war of Islamic religion...and it won't be long before we are fighting it here in the great U.S. of A.

Thank you John for being a part of our group, and for sharing those personal, heart-felt experiences with us. Thank you for all the terrorist you stopped in their tracks  Thank you for being wounded in my place.  Thank you for putting your life in harms way so that I can sleep peacefully tonight.  We love you, and we support you!
