Personal testimony: I was saved in 1961 after being under conviction for about three weeks. I placed one foot forward during the invitation...and hesitated for a moment. the next verse of invitation was "Just as I am, and waiting not, to rid my soul, of one dark blot". I couldn't wait any longer! The preacher held out his hand and I went boldly to that alter. I knelt with the preacher and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at that tender age of 10 years old.
