Xenia's Parade had a different theme so we changed our float and theme to accommodate the parade. Since Christ was the greatest volunteer ever, we centered our float around Him. Our Assistant Pastor Brian Hargis played the badly whipped and beaten Christ, and carried a cross to Calvary (which was our float with two crosses on a hill). The Roman soldiers were three of the numerous volunteers to whip Brian. Many people in the crowd clapped and commented as we came by. More importantly, it was the greatest display of the suffering and love of Christ that we have ever displayed. Thousands of Gospel tracts were handed out to the awestruck crowd.
Pastor Gresham wrote a new Gospel tract titled, "Can You Pass the "Good" Test?" and thousands of tracts were passed out in the parades. We were the ONLY church that entered a float and passed out Gospel tracts in the Fairborn and Beavercreek parades. Freedom Baptist Temple also helped reach the community in the Xenia parade. Numerous photos below show spectators reading the tracts.
